Omo Valley 5 Days
Day 1 - Friday,
Flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch, Pick you up from Arba Minch airport on your arrival 1:05 pm and driving to Jinka. Overnight in Jinka.
Early morning heading to Mago National Park and visiting the Mursi tribe in their village. Mursi tribe are known for their lip plates. After spending reasonable time interacting with Mursi Tribe driving back to Jinka and we will have two plans for Afternoon.
Saturday is A market gathering day in Demeka so that there will be 90 % probability to witness the bull jumping ceremony. If there is a bull jumping ceremony we will be driving to Demeka and attending the market then you will be witnessing the bull jumping rites.
If there is no bull jumping, in Jinka we will be visiting the Ari village and proceed to Demeka market.
Overnight in Turmi, Camping along with the Hamer tribe members.
Morning Excursion to Karo Tribe. Karo is The smallest tribe in terms of population number and known for clay face decoration.
Afternoon visiting the Hamer tribe and experiencing their way of life from a very closer look.
Overnight in Turmi.
Day 4, Monday
Early morning driving to Omorate and crossing the omo river with dugout canoe and visiting the Dasenech tribe. This is the most isolated place and the last frontier.
Afternoon attending the Monday colorful tribal Market of Turmi.
Again 90 % probability to witness the bull jumping ceremony if there wasn't on Saturday. But if we already attend bull jumping, we will have a plenty of choice.
VIsiting Banna tribe in Demeka. This is a close relative of Hammer Tribe.
We can get closer to Arba Minch I.e Konso to spend the night. This will give us a chance to visit the Dorze tribe before your flight next day.
Overnight in Turmi. (Konso)
Driving to Arba Minch, a quick visit to the world heritage of Konso traditional landscape and excursion to Dorze tribe in case of day 4 option two. Heading to Arba Minch and you will be at the airport for your flight check in.
